The downloadable package is a compressed or "zipped" file, "Brief_Intro_Anal_Chem.zip", of 2.6 MB. It contains nine files, all in PDF format: a Table of Contents, six Chapters, an Appendix, and an Index. The text is separated into individual files to allow the use of one or more of these files on a "stand-alone" basis, since the chapters are fairly independent of one another. After clicking on "Download Now" (below), the Download Manager dialog box should be displayed. Select the "Save to File" option and the destination folder. Once downloading is completed, the .zip file must be decompressed or "unzipped". After this step the text is ready for viewing or printing. Many of the graphics and some of the equations are best viewed from a printed copy, rather than the monitor screen.
